Jean-Claude Risset (born 18 March, 1938, Le Puy-en-Velay; died November 21, 2016) outstanding composer of instrumental, vocal and electroacoustic music, pioneer of computer music, Honorary Member of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music died on November 21, 2016 in Marseille. He studied composition with André Jolivet and has been co-working with Max Mathews at Bell Labs since 1964. He was an author of original sound-illusion Shepard-Risset glissando (endless glissando), a phenomena of sound illusion.
