Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce the call for programs for the CIME/ICEM 40th General Assembly organized by the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music (PSeME) in the city of Krakow, Poland synchronized with Strefa (Zone) Conference on October 13-15, 2022 organized by Studio of Electroacoustic Music at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we couldn’t stay with our original plan for the 40th GA, so, at this last moment, Marek Choloniewski has offered to organize the General Assembly again in Krakow, synchronized with the international conference organized by SME at the Academy of Music, an annual event of the Studio since 2012.

After two General Assemblies of remote meetings and online events in 2020 and 2021, we are returning to the real meeting, and your personal attendance would be very much appreciated.

Each National Federation or Organization / Institution, and Associate Member may submit music for concert programming consideration. The recommended duration of the submitted program is 20 minutes for CIME members attending in person the GA in Kraków and 10 minutes for members not attending. Please list the submitted works in order of preference. All submissions must be sent through National Federations or O/I Members.

No individual submissions are accepted.

Call for Submissions and the Application Form. Both Concert Submission and Conference Presentation proposals must be submitted by September 30, 2021.

Submissions can include works for fixed audio, video music, sound art, new interfaces, and instrument(s) with electronics. The organizer will do the best to secure performers for mixed pieces, but due to time constraints, it is recommended for the composers to secure the performer(s).

The conference’s theme is Strefa (Zone), and we invite all delegates to submit an abstract of 500 words maximum for paper presentation consideration. Online presentations are possible via Skype or ZOOM.

All delegates should cover their cost of travel, accommodation, and lodging.

Please direct any questions about the submission process directly to Marek Choloniewski <marek.choloniewski@gmail.com>.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in Kraków!

On behalf of the Board of directors
